6 AM — the alarm rings — my dutiful, diligent clock —
It tracks me silently, nudging me to stay on top
My eyes are shut but my body is at unrest
My mind scanning todos,
dreading the packed calendar ahead.
I get the kids out of bed,
chase them to get dressed,
rummage the laundry to find that one top
that the five year old through a tantrum for.
The clock watches, silently giving me…
